Ingredients

  • 8 oz of pasta of your choice
  • Butterball Natural Hardwood Smoked Turkey sausage
  • 2 Tbsp oil of choice
  • 2 Tbsp Harissa Pepper paste
  • ½ Cup Sliced Bell Peppers. (tri-color)
  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Spices (Salt, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, and Paprika)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, add 3 Tbsp of salt, and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. (Please do not rinse the pasta, as this strips off the necessary starch)
  2. In a large skillet, heat your oil of choice over medium heat. Add the turkey sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add ½ cup of pre-sliced bell peppers and sauté until Fragrant. Add 2 tbsp of Harissa pepper paste and fully cook it down.
  4. Pour 2 cups heavy cream into the skillet, season with 2 tsp of Salt, Onion powder, Garlic Powder, and Paprika. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and sausage back to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated with the creamy sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat everything through.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
