Poncho Turkey Burger Taco

A new take on a burger - use a flour tortilla as the base. Top the Butterball® Frozen Sweet Onion Seasoned Turkey Burger with typical taco ingredients - cheese, lettuce, salsa, sour cream and onions for a great change of taste.

Ingredients

  • 4 BUTTERBALL® Frozen Sweet Onion Seasoned Turkey Burgers
  • 8 slices Pepper Jack cheese
  • 4 (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup prepared roasted corn salsa
  • 8 slices peeled ripe avocado
  • 4 tablespoons diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

Directions

  1. Cook turkey burgers according to package directions of choice to an internal temperature of 165°F. Place 2 slices of cheese on each burger during last minute of cooking. Remove burgers; keep warm.
  2. For each serving, warm 1 tortilla according to package directions. Spread half of tortilla with 1/4 cup lettuce. Cut cheese topped burger in half. Place halves over lettuce. Top with 2 tablespoons corn salsa, 2 slices avocado, 1 tablespoon red onion, and 1-1/2 teaspoons sour cream. Fold tortilla over filling and serve. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
